About the Author
Guadalupe Nettel is a Mexican writer born in Mexico City in 1973. Her novel *Still Born* (*La hija única*), shortlisted for the 2023 International Booker Prize, deals with the pressure to become a mother and the complexities of female friendship. She is also the editor of the literary magazine *Revista de la Universidad de México*.
