Frank Miller (born 1957) is an American comic book writer, artist, and filmmaker renowned for revolutionizing superhero comics with gritty, noir-influenced narratives in works like Daredevil (where he created Elektra), The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Sin City, and 300; he has won every major comic industry award and was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2015. Lynn Varley (born 1958) is an American comic book colorist celebrated for her innovative coloring on Frank Miller's seminal works including Ronin, The Dark Knight Returns, 300, and Elektra Lives Again, earning her Eisner, Harvey, and Comics Buyer's Guide Favorite Colorist awards in 1999 (plus others).
