About the Author
Gene Luen Yang is an American cartoonist, author, and former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. He won the Eisner Award for Best Graphic Album – New in 2007 for American Born Chinese, the first graphic novel to be nominated for a National Book Award. In 2025 he won again for Lunar New Year Love Story with illustrator LeUyen Pham.
