About P. J. Lynch
Patrick James Lynch (born 2 March 1962), known professionally as P. J. Lynch, is an Irish illustrator of children's books renowned for his detailed watercolor illustrations of folklore, fairytales, and historical stories. His most notable works include The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey by Susan Wojciechowski, which sold over a million copies in the US, and When Jessie Came Across the Sea by Amy Hest; he has won two Kate Greenaway Medals (1995, 1997), three Christopher Awards, the Mother Goose Award, and served as Ireland's fourth Laureate na nÓg in 2016. He lives in Dublin and continues to produce acclaimed artwork.
