About Helen Cooper

Helen Sonia Cooper (born 1963 in London) is a British author and illustrator of children's literature, best known for her picture books including Pumpkin Soup and The Baby Who Wouldn't Go To Bed, both winners of the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal in 1998 and 1996 respectively. Her works, translated into 30 languages, feature whimsical illustrations and stories often involving anthropomorphic animals and everyday magic.
