About Barbara Firth
Barbara Firth (1928–2013) was a British illustrator of children's books, best known for her work on Martin Waddell's Little Bear series, including Can't You Sleep Little Bear?. She won the 1988 Kate Greenaway Medal and Nestlé Smarties Book Prize for Can't You Sleep Little Bear?, as well as the 1989 Kurt Maschler Award for The Park in the Dark.
