Jane MeadAmerican
Jane Mead (1958–2019) was an American poet born in Baltimore, who authored five poetry collections including World of Made and Unmade (2016), longlisted for the National Book Award and shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. She earned degrees from Vassar College, Syracuse University, and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, taught at various institutions, and managed her family's vineyard ranch in Napa Valley, California.
