Colleen Hoover (born December 11, 1979, in Sulphur Springs, Texas) is an American romance and new adult fiction author whose work has achieved extraordinary popular success in the 2010s and 2020s. She self-published her debut novel Slammed in 2012 after being unable to secure traditional publishing deals, and it became a bestseller shortly after.
