About This Book

Jonny Steinberg's dual biography of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Nelson Mandela reframes their marriage as a story of two entirely different forms of resistance to apartheid, with Winnie as a figure of radical defiance that history has consistently misread. Winner of the NBCC Award for Biography.
