Watusi Titanic

Connie Deanovich (born 1960) is an American poet who grew up in Chicago, earning a BA from Columbia College Chicago and an MA from DePaul University. She is the author of poetry collections including Watusi Titanic (1996) and Zombie Jet (2000), with work appearing in publications like Bomb, Grand Street, and New American Writing. Notable achievements include the 1997 Whiting Writers' Award, GE Award for Younger Writers, and Project for Innovative Poetry Gertrude Stein Award.
