Carlos EireCuban-American
Carlos Eire (born 1950 in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban-American historian and author renowned for his works on early modern European religious history and memoirs of his childhood exile from Cuba via Operation Peter Pan. His memoir Waiting for Snow in Havana (2003) won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and Reformations: The Early Modern World 1450-1700 (2016) received the R. Yale Religious Studies
