About This Book
A boy alone at home, convalescing from an illness, encounters a rag-and-bone man called Treacle Walker who gives him two gifts: a jar of ointment and a sheep's shoulder blade. Through these objects, the boy begins a journey between different realities, encountering comic book characters and the creatures of ancient myth. Shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2022.
