About the Author
Dan Fagin is an American journalist and science writer, and professor of journalism at New York University, where he directs the Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and worked as a science reporter at Newsday for many years. His book Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation (2013) investigated a cluster of childhood cancers in Toms River, New Jersey, tracing decades of corporate pollution and the long legal battle for accountability.
