Gregory BenfordAmerican
Gregory Benford (born 1941) is an American science fiction author and astrophysicist, professor emeritus at UC Irvine, best known for his Galactic Center Saga including In the Ocean of Night (1977) and the award-winning novel Timescape (1980). He has won two Nebula Awards (for \"If the Stars Are Gods\" and Timescape), the John W. Campbell Memorial Award, and the Heinlein Award, among others.
