Raymond Wilson Chambers (1874-1942) was a British literary scholar specializing in Old and Middle English literature, born in Staxton, Yorkshire. He served as librarian (1901-1922), assistant professor (1904-1914), and Quain Professor of English (1922 onwards) at University College London, and contributed to Shakespearean scholarship on Sir Thomas More.
