Amy Leach is an American non-fiction essayist known for her lyrical, imaginative writing style grounded in the natural world. She grew up in Texas as a Seventh-day Adventist, earned an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Iowa, and teaches creative writing at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. Her essays have appeared in Best American Essays, Best American Science and Nature Writing, and Granta, earning her a Whiting Award, Rona Jaffe Foundation Award, and Pushcart Prize.
