Bruce Michael Duffy (1951–2022) was an American author best known for his debut novel The World as I Found It (1987), a fictionalized account of philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein's life. He published two more novels, Last Comes the Egg (1997) and Disaster Was My God (2011), and received a Whiting Award and Guggenheim Fellowship in 1988. He died in Rockville, Maryland, from complications of brain cancer.
