The Waters of Kronos

Conrad Richter (1890-1968) was an American author renowned for his historical fiction depicting life on the American frontier. His most notable works include the trilogy The Awakening Land (The Trees, The Fields, The Town, with The Town winning the 1951 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction), The Sea of Grass, The Light in the Forest, and The Waters of Kronos (1961 National Book Award winner).
