The Water Cure

Sophie Mackintosh (born 1988) is a British novelist and short story writer, born in South Wales and raised in Pembrokeshire. ISFDB. Her debut novel The Water Cure (2018) was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize, followed by Blue Ticket (2020) and Cursed Bread (2023), with the latter longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction; in 2023, she was named on the Granta Best of Young British Novelists list.
