About This Book
In Money, Mississippi—the town where Emmett Till was murdered—a series of bizarre killings occurs, each leaving behind the mutilated body of a Black man who resembles Till. Two Black detectives from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation arrive to investigate, and the story spirals into a surrealist meditation on lynching, memory, and the possibility of historical reckoning. Winner of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award and a Booker Prize finalist.
