Michael Burleigh (born 1955) is a British historian and author specializing in modern European history, terrorism, and populism, with notable works including The Third Reich: A New History (2000, winner of the Samuel Johnson Prize), Earthly Powers, and Small Wars, Far Away Places (2013, longlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize).
