About the Author
Ada ZhangAmerican
Ada Zhang is an American short story writer who grew up in Austin, Texas, and now lives in New York City. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, her debut collection explores themes of loss, loneliness, grief, and joy in the Chinese-American immigrant experience, with ties to China's Cultural Revolution. She is a 2023 National Book Foundation "5 Under 35" honoree, 2024 Whiting Award winner in Fiction, and her stories have appeared in McSweeney's, A Public Space, and Alaska Quarterly Review.
