Thomas Henry Bingham, Baron Bingham of Cornhill (born 1933), was a British judge who held the offices of Master of the Rolls, Lord Chief Justice, and Senior Law Lord, widely regarded as the greatest judge of his generation. Educated at Sedbergh School and Balliol College, Oxford, he practiced at the Bar before ascending the judiciary in 1980. After retiring in 2008, he authored notable works like The Rule of Law (2010), focusing on human rights and the rule of law.
