About the Author

Maud Fuller Petersham (1890-1971) and Miska Petersham (1888-1960), an American husband-and-wife duo, were pioneering writers and illustrators of children's books, collaborating on over 100 titles that introduced exuberant color, international folk themes, and modernist styles to the genre.
