Jack Hodgins (born October 3, 1938) is a Canadian novelist and short story writer raised in Merville, Comox Valley, British Columbia, best known for works like The Invention of the World (1977), The Resurrection of Joseph Bourne (1979; Governor General's Award), Broken Ground (1998; Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize), and Spit Delaney's Island (1976; Eaton's BC Book Award).
