About the Author
Multi-award-winning British crime author Mari Hannah, born in London and now residing in rural Northumberland, is a former probation officer whose career was cut short by an assault on duty, leading her to scriptwriting and novels. She is best known for her DCI Kate Daniels police procedural series (starting with The Murder Wall), as well as the Ryan & O'Neill thrillers and Stone & Oliver series; her works have been translated worldwide and optioned for TV. Major achievements include the CWA Dagger in the Library (2017), Polari First Book Prize (2013 for The Murder Wall), Northern Writers’ Award (2010 for Settled Blood), and Capital Crime Book of the Year (2020 for Without a Trace) [Crime Writers' Association, Dublin Literary Award, Fresh Fiction].
