About the Author

Jeffrey Kent Eugenides (born March 8, 1960) is an American novelist and short story writer best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Middlesex (2002), which explores themes of Greek-American immigrant experience, Detroit's history, and intersex identity. His other notable works include The Virgin Suicides (1993), adapted into a film by Sofia Coppola, and The Marriage Plot (2011). He is a professor of creative writing at New York University.
