Lawrence Wright (born 1947) is an American author and investigative journalist best known for his nonfiction works The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11 (2006), which won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction, and Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief (2013).
