About the Author

Ramsey Campbell (born 4 January 1946) is an English horror fiction writer, editor, and critic from Liverpool who has authored over 30 novels and hundreds of short stories across more than six decades. He debuted at age 18 with the Lovecraftian collection The Inhabitant of the Lake and Less Welcome Tenants (1964) and became a full-time writer in 1973 after early jobs in tax offices and libraries, developing a distinctive style of urban psychological horror in works like Demons by Daylight (1973) and The Doll Who Ate His Mother (1976).
