Stephen GwynnIrish
Stephen Lucius Gwynn (1864–1950) was an Irish journalist, biographer, author, poet, and Protestant Nationalist politician who represented Galway Borough as a Member of Parliament for the Irish Parliamentary Party from 1906 to 1918. He served as a British Army captain during World War I, advocated for Irish involvement in the Allied effort, and authored "The Case for Home Rule" (1911). Gwynn had a prolific writing career, including the award-winning biography "The Life of Mary Kingsley" (1930), travel books, histories, and poetry.
