About the Author
Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi (born 1977 in Bombay, India) is an Indian author whose debut novel The Last Song of Dusk (2004) won the Betty Trask Award and Premio Grinzane Cavour, becoming an international bestseller translated into 16 languages. His subsequent works include The Lost Flamingoes of Bombay (2009), the novella The Rabbit & the Squirrel (2018), and the nonfiction essay collection Loss (2020) on grief and healing. A photographer and contributor to publications like The New York Times and Vogue, he has received accolades such as being named one of India's 50 Most Powerful Young Indians.
