Michael ShaaraAmerican
Michael Shaara (1928–1988) was an American author best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning historical novel The Killer Angels (1974), which depicts the Battle of Gettysburg and was adapted into the film Gettysburg. He also wrote science fiction, sports fiction like the posthumously published For Love of the Game (adapted into a 1999 film), and short stories, having suffered a heart attack at 36 before teaching literature at Florida State University.
