Hugh Honour (1927-2016) was a British art historian renowned for his collaborations with John Fleming, most notably A World History of Art (also published as The Visual Arts: A History), a seminal global survey now in its seventh edition that received the Mitchell Prize, and pioneering works like Chinoiserie: The Vision of Cathay (1961), Neo-Classicism (1968), and Romanticism (1979).
