The Idea of Perfection

Kate Grenville (born 1950) is an Australian novelist best known for her historical fiction exploring colonial Australia, including notable works such as The Secret River (2006), The Idea of Perfection (2000), and A Room Made of Leaves (2020). She has received major awards like the Orange Prize for Fiction, Commonwealth Writers' Prize, and Officer of the Order of Australia (AO).
