William WilsonAmerican
William E. Wilson (1906–1988) was an American author who wrote eleven books spanning non-fiction, fiction, and children's literature, including notable works like The Wabash (1940) and Indiana: A History (1966). He had a distinguished career as assistant editor of the Baltimore Sun, Fulbright Scholar in France, and professor of fiction writing and literature at Indiana University from 1950 to 1972, where a fellowship is named in his honor.
