About the Author

Michael Moorcock (born December 18, 1939, in Mitcham, Surrey, England) is an English author best known for his science fiction and fantasy works, particularly the Elric of Melniboné series, Jerry Cornelius quartet, and Hawkmoon series, which introduced the influential Multiverse concept and shaped the New Wave movement as editor of New Worlds magazine. He has received major awards including the Nebula Award for Behold the Man (1967), Guardian Fiction Prize for The Condition of Muzak (1977), World Fantasy Life Achievement (2000), and SFWA Grand Master (2008).
