Courtney Angela BrkicAmerican
Courtney Angela Brkic (born 1972) is a Croatian American memoirist, short story writer, novelist, and academic. She worked on forensic exhumations in Bosnia after the Srebrenica massacre and as a translator for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, experiences that informed her writing. Recipient of a Whiting Writer’s Award, NEA fellowship, and Fulbright Scholarship, she teaches creative writing at George Mason University.
