About the Authors

David Levithan is an American young adult novelist and editorial director at Scholastic, where he founded the PUSH imprint. His books include Boy Meets Boy and Two Boys Kissing, a National Book Award finalist. With Gabriel Duckels he wrote The Fight of Our Lives: AIDS in America, longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Young People's Literature.

Gabriel Duckels is a British scholar of HIV/AIDS, childhood, and literature. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge. With David Levithan he wrote The Fight of Our Lives: AIDS in America, longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Young People's Literature.
