Brian CathcartIrish
Brian Cathcart (born 1956) is an Irish-born journalist, author, academic, and media campaigner based in the United Kingdom, best known for his books on history of science and true crime such as The Case of Stephen Lawrence (1999), which won the Orwell Prize for political writing and the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction, The Fly in the Cathedral (2004), and The News From Waterloo (2015); he is also a founder of the Hacked Off campaign for press accountability and professor of journalism at Kingston University.
