Sabina Murray (born 1968) is an American novelist and screenwriter of Filipino-American descent who grew up in Australia, the Philippines, and Pennsylvania. She is the author of notable works including the PEN/Faulkner Award-winning short story collection The Caprices (2002), novels like Valiant Gentlemen (2016)—a New York Times and Washington Post Notable Book—and the screenplay for Beautiful Country, nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Currently a professor in the MFA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she has received fellowships from Radcliffe, Guggenheim, and others. Read more →
