Saud AlsanousiKuwaiti
Saud Alsanousi (born 1981) is a Kuwaiti novelist, playwright, and journalist whose works explore Kuwaiti society, culture, and identity. His debut novel The Prisoner of Mirrors (2010) won the Laila al-Othman Prize, and he achieved international acclaim with The Bamboo Stalk (2012), earning the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (\"Arabic Booker\") in 2013 as the youngest recipient. Other notable works include Mama Hissa's Mice (2015) and the epic trilogy The Scrolls of Mud City (2023-2024), several shortlisted for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, alongside contributions to theater like Memoirs of a Sailor (2019).
