Ellen MeloyAmerican
Ellen Meloy (1946-2004) was an American environmental and nature writer, born in Pasadena, California. She authored essay collections on the American Southwest, including Raven's Exile and The Last Cheater's Waltz, and earned the Whiting Award. Her book The Anthropology of Turquoise was a Pulitzer Prize finalist and won the Utah Book Award.
