Louis EdwardsAmerican
Louis Edwards is an American novelist born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1984 with a degree in journalism and began writing his debut novel while in graduate school there. Edwards received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1993 and a Whiting Award in 1994 for his fiction, and has had a long career in music festival production, including as Chief Creative Officer for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
