Rosina Ruth Lucia Park (1917-2010) was a New Zealand-born Australian author known for her vivid depictions of working-class life. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, she moved to Sydney, Australia in 1942, where she married writer D'Arcy Niland and built her career as a freelance writer, producing novels, children's books, radio scripts, and autobiographies. Her notable works include the novels The Harp in the South (1948) and Playing Beatie Bow (1980), and the children's series The Muddle-Headed Wombat. Read more →
