Edoardo NesiItalian
Edoardo Nesi is an Italian writer, translator, filmmaker, and former politician born on November 9, 1964, in Prato, Italy, who managed his family's textile business before selling it in 2004 and entering literature full-time. He is best known for his novel Storia della mia gente (Story of My People), winner of the prestigious Premio Strega in 2011, which chronicles the decline of Prato's textile industry, as well as L'età dell'oro, a Strega finalist and Bruno Cavallini Prize winner, and L'estate infinita, recipient of the Premio Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2015. He has also translated major works including David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest into Italian. Read more →
