About the Author
John McManusAmerican
John McManus is an American novelist and short story writer best known for his debut collection Stop Breakin Down, for which he became the youngest-ever recipient of the Whiting Writers' Award. He is also the author of the novel Bitter Milk and additional short story collections Born on a Train and Fox Tooth Heart, with work appearing in prestigious journals like Ploughshares and Tin House. In 2019, he received a Literature Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and teaches creative writing at Old Dominion University.
