Scott Reynolds Nelson (born 1964) is an American historian specializing in 19th-century U.S. history, including labor, slavery, international finance, and global commodities. He is the Georgia Athletic Association Professor of History at the University of Georgia, previously the Legum Professor at the College of William & Mary, with fellowships at Harvard, EHESS Paris, Newberry Library, and a Guggenheim in 2019-20.
