Born in Winchester, UK in 1985, her debut novel Speak Its Name (2016) was the first self-published book to win a Betty Trask Award, with additional shortlistings for the Exeter Novel Prize and Selfies Award; other notable works include A Spoke In The Wheel and The Real World.
