Mahreen Sohail is a Pakistani American writer born in Islamabad. Her debut story collection Small Scale Sinners (A Public Space, 2025) won the 2026 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar, and lives in Washington, D.C.
