About the Author
Rattawut Lapcharoensap is a Thai American short story writer born in Chicago in 1979 and raised in Bangkok. He graduated from the University of Michigan with an MFA in creative writing and is best known for his 2005 short story collection Sightseeing, which won the Asian American Literary Award and was a finalist for the Guardian First Book Award. His work has appeared in Granta and other publications, and he has received awards including the Whiting Award and National Book Foundation's 5 under 35.
